For the honey cupboard
Real hives. Our own honey.
We’re beekeepers based in Somerset. Our British runny and soft set honey comes from the bees we care for, foraging across the local countryside.
We extract the honey, gently strain it and jar it without pasteurising. Its colour and flavour can change with the flowers and the season. That’s part of what makes each harvest worth tasting.
Our imported varieties are listed separately, with their country of origin clearly shown.
Alongside our own honey
A small selection of imported honeys.
A different nectar source, a different character.
A little honey knowledge
A few things to know before choosing your jar.
Find your favouriteOur British honey is extracted from the comb and gently strained to remove wax and hive debris. We don’t pasteurise it. The result keeps the flavour and natural texture of the harvest.
Our British runny and soft set honeys are produced by our own bees in Somerset. We also sell a small selection of imported varieties, including acacia, lime and buckwheat. We show the origin of each honey so you can choose with confidence.
Runny honey is ideal for pouring, drizzling and stirring. Soft set honey has a smooth, spreadable texture created by fine honey crystals. Both are raw honey; the choice is about the texture you enjoy.
Honey’s sugars can form crystals over time, turning runny honey firmer. Different honeys do this at different rates. It’s a natural change in texture and doesn’t mean the honey has gone off.
